The cellar counts on 48 hectares of vineyards in the most north-western area of Rioja Alta in the localities of Sajazarra, Villaseca de Rioja, Galbárruli and Castílseco, that enjoy a unique microclimate.
The most emblematic lands such as Galdara, La Roma, Los Corrales and Fuente Negra, situated at an altitude of 500 to 700 metres, are found on the southern skirts of the Obarene Mountains, sheltered there from the north wind.
In this extreme region with dry, calcareous, argillaceous ground and with variations of temperature around 20º day and night, Tempranillo is cultivated, with the presence of Graciano, Mazuelo, y Garnacha, using cultivating techniques designed to obtain the maximum expressivity of the grape from the area.
They are lands at the limit of vine cultivation, where the care of them is most delicate, in exchange a better quality and singularity is obtained and greater tipisity.
Moreover, the extreme care for the vine requires the absence of watering, the realization of severe clearing, leaf stripping and pinching out bunches so as to obtain the maximum yield.
The oldest vineyards are over 60 years old and the newest 18.
